North Tyneside indie folk singer songwriter Katie Grace has been announced as special guest for this weekend’s Hector Gannet shows at The Exchange 1856.

Katie enjoyed a breakout year in 2024, playing both Camp Bestivals following an invite from organiser Rob Da Bank. That followed a first sold-out headline gig in her native North Shields, at The Engine Room, and a first London show in Shoreditch.

In 2023 Katie won the Alan Hull Award in recognition of her songwriting and gained a place at the prestigious Trinity Laban conservatoire in Greenwich. Towards the end of 2024 she performed Lady Eleanor alongside Alan's son-in-law and Lindisfarne guitarist Dave Hull-Denholm.

Katie's North East roots are incredibly important to her and she's over the moon to be involved in North Shields 800.

Both shows are now sold out.
